View or Edit Title

IDMS stores the title information, such as the status of the title and location. The system tracks which titles are in house and which ones you are still waiting on. The Certificate Of Transfer (COT) is the name the title was in before it was in the dealership’s name. When a vehicle is traded in, the system automatically puts that customer’s name in the COT Information section, not the bank lien information. If applicable, lien information also appears.

1. From the Inventory page, click the Titling tab.

The Title Information, Lien Information, Previous Title Information, and COT Information sections appear.

2. Edit applicable fields, and click the Save icon .
