Managing Portfolios
Portfolios are used to group, categorize, set defaults, and very importantly drive GL accounting of transactions that occur for Accounts. Examples include payments, transfers to related finance companies (RFCs), write offs, and payoffs. The portfolio allows the user to select a bookkeeping company where all these transactions post. Portfolios allow the user to define past due filters, which is what determines if an account is past due. It also defines EPS settings. All accounts in a particular portfolio abide by the defaults assigned to the portfolio unless overridden at the account level.
